Welcome. We are glad you are posting songs. That is very nice although I think the guitar could be just a bit more "forward" in the mix. As an owner of an Olson and a fanned fret Bashkin, I can tell you unashamedly that the dynamics are incredible.

We are glad you are posting. My fanned fret Bashkin guitar was built for altered tunings, and it can go to CGCGCD with normal strings without causing a stir or losing intonation. I also have an Olson and love it to pieces.

First of all, welcome. We are glad you are posting. I play an Olson and sometimes tune in DADGAD. I think it highlights overall balance better than a B to B tuning. I also have a Bashkin. Have you joined the fanned fret craze yet? For complexity, nothing beats a fanned fret guitar.

I've been playng guitar for a lot of years and never have been able to bend the G string out a whole tone. This video doesn't show you doing it either. I believe you meant a half tone. I love my Olson and I always let others play it.

I'm not sure that's always true. While I have an Olson and play concerts (in various tunings and using various strings), I'm a happy man. I'm sure the poor can be happy as well. I've also been known to play a guitar with 12 strings from time to time.

Apparently the "shoosh" annoyed some folks over at the AGF also. I have an Olson guitar and you'd be amazed at the craftsmanship. People at the concerts I play come up to me and want to play it. I let them. Some people ask me why I do that. My reply is always, "Why wouldn't I?"
