As for books on refining writing technique etc, it's hard for me to answer, because I draw my greatest influences from literature rather than text-books. I certainly admire the prose of authors such as Tolkien, Arthur C Clarke, Frank Herbert and others, and doubtless their influence has rubbed off on me. I honestly would merely suggest finding authors that you love and practice writing out your own thoughts or opinions in styles that mirror their own. :)

As for information sources, please do take a gander through my playlists, as I think they're good springboards to certain topics.
