legend has it that the guy had it planned all along...He built the mushrooms as his senior art project, and--either someone through a rock through it or a security guard followed him at night o the mushroom--and they discovered inside pillows and blankets. He built a trap door through which he and his girlfriend would enter. this is the legend of the infamous mushrooms. It's just this crazy story of a crazy guy who got caught being crazy...and a bit dumb.

about the Kingsmen video: we do have a dresscode, though much less severe than when you attended. We can wear jeans, but they can't have holes; guys have to wear collared shirts; and everyone can wear flip-flops and sandals. My sister went here during the days of ties and skirts, but thankfully, things have changed. And, no--people do date. in fact, there may be TOO MANY people searching for their soul mate here. but that's just one man's opinion. so you were here in '76? do you then know the legend of the "giant mushroom?"
