The King George VI complex is situated in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. The King George VI Centre provides boarding and rehabilitation to children from the age of 3 to 18 years with physical disabilities and hearing impairments.

One of the amazing success stories the school has achieved is its band, Liyana. In 2006 the group of eight students, five in wheelchairs and one deaf, took second prize in an all Africa music competition.

The band is fronted by Prudence Mabhena, a dynamic lead singer with a unique ability to communicate with audiences from all walks of life. Other members specialize in marimbas, African drums, shakers, keyboard, and piano. With lyrics in five different languages, Liyana's 'Afro-fusion' music is reflective of our interconnected world, where many find that our connections are greater than our divisions
