The Union Flag has never been less popular than it is now. The Scots favour the sky blue saltire, the English favour the cross of St. George and the Welsh have never even been included on the Union flag. There is talk of redesigning the flag to include the colours of the flag of Wales. This is long overdue. So is addressing the issue of the use of the wrong colour for the Scottish flag which should be sky blue and not dark blue. Perhaps the union flag should be scrapped altogether as its days may be numbered should the Scots vote for independence (as I hope they do). However, if this outdated and tired old flag is to be revived then this could be the solution....
