About this user

People all have this great need to be known. We love to tell each other things about our lives. We love to share our story with others.

Not only that but everyone also has this great need to be loved and accepted. However, even after obtaining love, it never ends up being quite enough. It disappoints and it is flawed because we, the ones who love are flawed. The love we give and receive falls short every time. It can never truly satisfy that need we have.

Ever think about why that is? Ever wonder why we are always thinking the grass is greener on the other side? We think "Oh, if I could have this person, I'd be so happy." Or "If I made this amount of money I'd be set." But when we get those things we so desired we still aren't satisfied and are now looking for the next thing that will bring ultimate satisfaction.

In reality, this need to be known, loved and accepted is built in to us. It is a longing to be in perfect fellowship with God, whether we realize that or not. He is the only One who can know, love and accept us exactly the way we desire, perfectly. The reason we think the grass is always greener on the other side is because the things in this life are temporal, and we are eternal beings, created for eternal things. Our sprit knows that, even if we don't.

So, the truth is that in this life, there is no such thing as finding ultimate satisfaction. That is only found with God in Heaven and the only way to get there is by repenting and turning away from your sin and following Jesus. He is the ONLY WAY. If there was another way, why would God willingly send His only Son to be tortured and killed for our sin?

It is not His will that any should perish. The choice He gave is simple: Heaven- eternal paradise and total satisfaction or Hell- eternal torture and suffering. Don't let whatever experience you have had with religion keep you from missing out. It's not about religion, it's about following Christ. Call it what you want. Don't let your opinions about someone who calls himself a Christian but lives like the rest of the world keep you from knowing God. It's your eternal future at stake!!!!

Make your own choice. See for yourself who God is. Don't pick out a verse you don't like and say that you can't serve a God like that. Study His word. The whole thing. Ask Him who He is and He will show you if you are honestly seeking. Taste and see that the LORD is good. Psalm 34:8

Something to chew on: Jesus, a poor carpenter from a small town, seemingly a nobody, made such an impact on the world that today, 2000 years later His name is still changing lives and impacting the world in a major way. If Jesus isn't God then why do so many people want His very name eliminated from anything and everything. Why does He cause such a stir? Why is he so hated? What did He do that would make people hate Him so much? No other religious figure is so hated!

It's because Jesus came with truth. He shined light on our sin. He convicted us. People know their sin is wrong and they don't want to accept it so they turn on the One who was willing to die for the sin of His very own creation.

As for me, I am waiting in the hope God has given me to be made complete in my Savior, Jesus Christ, on that great day when He returns!
