I'm Jeremy, a 16 year old railway nutter. I'm a proud voluntary worker at the Great Central Railway (Nottingham), or GCRN, a 9 mile long preserved railway based at Ruddington, Nottinghamshire, and running south through some fantastic countryside over moors, through woodland, over a viaduct and through a tunnel to the current southern terminus where the heritage line meets the Midland Mainline just south of the mainline station. The plan is eventually to link up with the GCR at Loughborough. The line is operated mainly by resident Industrial locomotives, although the Line does have a large collection of heritage diesels, and sometimes hires in ex BR locos. It's a great day out for everyone, why not pay a visit? I also pay visits to other preserved railways like the Great Central Railway Loughborough (Whenever there is a steam gala on), the Severn Valley (at least once a year), the Foxfield Railway (at least once a year), the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway (at least once a year), and others that may be further afield from my home in Nottinghamshire.
