This is my take on Cancers.

At first a Cancer will be tough, hard, and very straight to the point. Some people may say they look mean,serious, and are cold hearted. Often you wont see Cancers with a lot of people. They can seem quiet and mysterious. If you watch them around people that they dont know...they will be listening and observing...not talking. If you say something wrong to them they can become moody and snap at you. I have seen some that will rip you apart because they dont want to feel attacked, they feel that they should be treated with respect. Also if you dont know them and you are just a socialite or anyone that they are not close with but still talk to...they will not take much from you.Thats the shell.

When they let you in though...its all different. If they let you in they will respect you alot. You have a friend for life. They will trust in you and feel strong emotion towards you. Which adds to their sensitive loving trait. When they let a person become their friend it is serious real talk to them. When they are in a relationship its something they take very seriously, easily hurt by what negative goes on in a relationship or what ever they have going on.

The difference with each cancer person has to do with there chart. You can meet a cancer that is sensitive but the way they handle their pain can be different. With many Cancers...if you hurt them they will be DONE with you. There cant be anything you can do or say ...Cancers have a way of cutting negative people out of their live. Some Cancers actually turn their pain into anger. And some other Cancers can get hurt easily but dont allow it to turn into anger. Perhaps there is something going on in their charts.

Same as when people say they can be clingy. I know a cancer who has to go and "retrieve in her shell" atleast once a day. It makes her feel better. Cancers can definitely be clingy...but you do have ones that have to be alone with their emotions and thaughts. I think when they show love it can be overwhelming to people and some cancers need to learn to give a little and then take a break because not everyone appreciates their friendship and love.

Cancers can be very independent. Most of these people are the ones that keep their family together...do things on their own,have a mind of their own. If something needs to be done and taken care of they are the ones who do it. What is funny is some of the other signs will run to Cancer first for advice,help, or any of there needs. Thats why they say Cancers are people you can count on and remain loyal once they let you in. But trust me when i tell you this..it can be very hard to get on their soft side. You really have to work for it. And i think it also ends up being a test for them to see how much you want to be their friend..which comes down to their need of loyalty.

They are really gentle. They may feel threatned many times. And when they feel "left out" they often take it to heart and think the worse...that you dont enjoy their company.
They are family oriented people. And in any relationship they seek loyalty and security.
Sometimes they can be possesive. But i think its due to protecting the ones they love. Sometimes they overdo it. Most of the time they are quite aware of whats going on. You dont need to tell them but they will find out themselves whats happening because of their sharp intelligence. They are INTUITIVE!!! i repeat...they are intuitive. All the Cancers i have come across are kind of "Psychic". I do not know how but they seem to know how a person will turn out to be like before even talking to them. Cancers have a very good imagination. They love to give you a shoulder to cry on...they are able to feel your pain. But they dont like to be used. MANY TIMES...a cancer will hold onto your feelings without you knowing. You could not be around them but when they are alone they may still continue to feel your pain and problems which goes to their loyal charm. They are EXTREMELY TOUCHY and EMOTIONAL. They love to have an extremely strong bond with their loved ones...they love to pour affection,love and appreciate the people in their life. They love to take care of someone who is weak or hurt. They can spaz at you and have a huge outburst at you. They dont like to openly communicate about whats bothering them...they usually suffer in silence. It is said that Obesity is common in Cancers. So if you know a Cancer who was or is overweight...now you kind of know why. They have this very good sense of knowing how to tell when to reach out to someone and when to back off...which is because of their Inuitive trait.
