New Moon

You left me here standing still
With no emotions in those golden eyes
I fought so hard for my tears not to spill
But to stop you, who am I?
I guess if you really want to go
Just go

The rain is cold but I don't mind
Running to catch you but you're not there
Not at home with now a welcome so unkind
Should i feel this way
Should i feel like this every single day


Now I'm just as cold as you are
Numb to the world around me
I'm not here if you aren't
no, not completely

It's been months and still no word
Eveyone thinks i'm going crazy
Oh, how absurd
No, i'm just haunting ghosts who have moved on
How could you have thought i was that strong
I guess you didn't know me after all
guess you thought i would careful not to tumble and fall
I fell so hard onto the ground
and wrapped myself in numb cacoon
I shudder at the thought of a new moon
