Video Profiles
Video Profiles are short films that enable people who are long term unemployed and without a 'joined up' work history to share their potential and career aspirations with people in a position to help them.
They seek to support people with barriers to gaining employment to over come the obstacles they face through traditional job application processes by enabling potential employers to see the future person rather than their past. The films share what the job seekers wanted to say about themselves as they were fully in control of the production decision-making processes.
The Voice In The Middle
'The Voice in the Middle' - Engaging young people, schools, communities and decisions makers in voice and influence through film based enquiry.
The Voice in the Middle is a series of nine collaborative film enquiries into how children and young people can be empowered to contribute to their own education. The series explores how pupil voice can be meaningful and effective and be heard, embraced and shaped by the adults who work with children. The Voice in the Middle project is a partnership project between Creative Partnerships, CapeUK, Lippy People, and 9 schools from West and South Yorkshire.
The Voice in the Middle project focussed on exploring the following overarching questions via an enquiry theme relevant to each school;
• How can young voices positively influence the educational provision on offer to pupils?
• How can adults voices support young people to learn to become socially motivated and contributing adults?
The films are a method of sharing ideas and learning. Each film enquiry has contributed enormously towards shaping the interactions and policies within each participating school as they prove to be fascinating, thought provoking, stimulating and rich in diversity and opinion.
In One City [2011]
This film was produced as part of the In One City project, a community cohesion, social dialogue and filmmaking project working across Leeds to increase dialogue between diverse communities; explore unique cultural identities and shared values; challenge myths and perceptions and develop strategies for a peaceful and cohesive city.
A 12 film series of portraits exploring faith, spirituality and social action. The series explores how people in Leeds interpret a statement made Chief Rabbi Lord Sacks 'Society is a conversation scored for many voices'.
Produced within the In One City, a partnership between Together For Peace (a charity that seeks to strengthen communities through peace making) and Lippy People CIC (a voice and influence social enterprise). At the heart of the project is collaborative film production that sees people building and sharing their stories with experienced social filmmakers. The films produced are then used to start difficult conversations between citizens in schools and within wider community settings.
Social Footprints
Films to inspire people to consider the mark they can make on society by becoming a social entrepreneur. The films were produced as part of a social enterprise development programme called Social Footprints.
Produced within collaboration between Love Enterprise (a social enterprise that supports social enterprise development), Re:Work CIC, Fresh Pastures CIC, The Lighthouse Group, Baraka Foundation and Lippy People CIC.

6 short films providing young offenders with a creative space from reflecting on the impact that their offending behaviour has had on their lives, their families and their communities.
What Would It Take...
Recent figures show that Dewsbury, in West Yorkshire has some of the worst national statistics relating to health in the UK. But, what would it take for everyone to live well in Dewsbury? A film exploring health and wellbeing.
What Would It Take... was a wide-scale consultation into health inequalities in Dewsbury. The film focussed on the experiences of those most affected by poor health and those people in the town who are rarely heard within health professional settings.
The aim of the film was to provide a platform for people to become directly engaged within the decision making processes around local health service provision, provide a record of experience and promote bottom up ideas. A further aim was to support people to become involved in local activism around health and wellbeing.
Social Firms
A 5 film series to illustrate the impact that social enterprise has on the lives of people who work within them. The series focussed on the personal stories of people with histories of addiction, health problems, disabilities and impairments, who have previously found barriers to employment.
The films were produced for initial screening at the international social enterprise conference 'Harnessing The Power Of Business To Change Lives' in 2010. The conference was co-hosted between Social Firms UK and Social Firms Europe and supported by the 2010 European Year For Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion.
Your Dreams Are What You Make Of Them
Films made as part of a series called 'Your Dreams Are What You Make Of The' which aimed to explore the childhood dreams and future aspirations of young people caught up within the criminal justice system.
4th World
4thWorld is a series of films produced in collaboration with people find themselves without a secure place to live. The aim is to support people to share their stories in order to affect change in their lives.
