Master Lugo began his quest to become a martial artist at a very early age. He was 4 years old when he started boxing under the direction of Golden Glove Boxer, Manuel Correa. His interests continued in the martial arts as he began training in LimaLama at the age of 12 directly from Master Tino Tuiolosega. During the course of his lifetime he has also studied Karate, Shaolin Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Judo, Aikido, Tae Kwon Do and Ninjutsu. Together, Master Lugo has over 40 years of experience in the Martial Arts. Now, Master Lugo has been charged with continuing the Limalama tradition for a new generation of students by Master Rudy Tuiolosega.
