Thanks for subscribing. Anyways, I learned Japanese through the course my high school offered. The class was really laid back, but I took it seriously and breezed through all four textbooks. Unfortunately, it won't be offered next year, so translating Vocaloid songs is how I'm learning more. If you're curious, the textbooks I used were the "Adventures in Japanese" textbooks.
As for kanji, it's more a matter of repetition. The more you write it or come across it, the deeper it's imprinted into your memory. The number of instances for permanent recollection varies from person to person, but that method works for all.
