being the change we want to see, :-)))
About Me:

mother, lover, shaman, witch, seer, healer, sister, friend. life keeps me grounded. (in a good way)

The Earth herself is our greatest teacher and healer, whether we want to heal and transform our personal hurts, or heal the huge wounds our society inflicts on the Earth and other human beings. The ancient Goddess traditions had no sacred texts or dogmas: instead, we learned to read the book of nature. Understanding how the Earth's cycles work, how change occurs in nature, and how Mother Earth designs co-evolving, interdependent systems can help us be better designers of the changes we want to see in our own lives and the world. No matter what the outcome of current political debates, the work of healing will continue for our lifetimes, and our connection to Earth is our deepest source of hope, renewal, and strength.

Every heritage includes great beauty and great pain, and we will need to draw on the wisdom and experience of all of them to weather the storms ahead. Shout out the truth—that we all count. We are interconnected, interdependent, and when we get good at it, a multiplicity of rhythms will move our feet in a joyous dance, and a chorus of voices harmonize in exultant song.

The environment is not an afterthought: its the ground of economy, security and survival. Environmental protection, environmental justice and regeneration must be our top priorities, because they are the only sound foundation for every other endeavor.

Power-over, or domination, means oppression, a system where one person controls
another, one gender dominates the other, one race holds the others down. To
overcome oppression, we must tap a different kind of power: power-from-within,
or empowerment. "Power" also means "ability": our creative power to imagine, to
bring to birth, to nurture, to transform. Power-from-within arises when we
learn to listen to our intuition, to the lessons of nature, and to each other,
let go of control, and embrace mystery.

Impunity compounds injustice. When the powerful are not held accountable for their crimes, two standards are created. Theres Good Violence—which is what the state and the more powerful do to the less powerful, and Bad Violence, which is what the less powerful do to resist. Good Violence is heroic while Bad Violenc e is vile, cowardly terrorism

Every freedom we cherish, every great change, every liberation of a slave or shift in conciousness or small increase in justice was won in just this way—in the streets by people who mostly felt at the time that they were losing.

"All of us have a role to play and none of them should involve inflaming hatred and prejudice among us; none of them should involve violating the rights of others or considering oneself superior to another or burning the scripture of those the ignorant and opportunistic want us to believe are evil or unholy.... Reflect and meditate in silence, please. Many have urged that September 11 this year not be a time of demonstrations for or against Cordoba House or any other issue; rather, let it be a quiet day of commemoration and mourning."

climate change is galloping along faster than even grim scientists feared, and idiots and profiteers are preventing us from doing what we know we need to do to rein it in. And if we expect our politicians to do anything meaningful about it, at home or in Copenhagen next week, they need to be buoyed up on a rising tide of public clamor. Thats us, folks.
