@smg7320 Chuck Jones was making a joke at cheap animation houses who would draw little spaghetti images. He said that should they leave something behind, it should be something interesting, like hairpins or hoofprints.

It's hilarious how much publicity the mirror gets. that famous photo of Ken Harris looking in the mirror with a carrot expression exactly like he's drawing? He only used that damn thing to comb his hair.

Hell, I prefer working in hand-drawn, because you can simply draw whatever you want, any shape or pose. Computers encourage stock timing tricks and technical flash.

@guy19910 So have I, but after about four minutes my fingers blister. I'm impressed with that guy...this song lasts an astonishing length without a good volume climax and keeping it interesting on a pressure sensitive instrument will fuck your fingers.

I saw this cartoon in a rerun on September 8th, 2001. I taped (remember those days?) these in the morning and would study the animation frame by frame later in the afternoon.

Something about this scares me.

This part of the piece is partially to represent the entire goddamn Roman Army marching at once, with the steady throbbing beat behind it, and your brain fucking imploding in a Jacques-Louis David display of patriotic hellyeahnishness.

This is the first performance I've heard or seen that does i...
