Yes this is a real display and not computer generated! The high contrast and color saturation of the lighting causes it to look artificial. The tree shaped projection screens are 40+ feet tall.

This home light show features handmade animatronic characters synced to an edited music and video track. The light strings are 100% LED. New for this year, Frosty plays the guitar while singing a medley of new songs. Also, a handmade Santa, sleigh and reindeer were added to the display. It was created out of carved and coated Styrofoam, metal and fabric.
Programming the light show began in September and was completed in October.

This is one of the songs in my ten minute show in Sherman Oaks CA. The display features animatronic characters that follow along to a music and video track, synchronized to tens of thousands of LED lights. DJ Jingles hosts as Frosty sings and plays his guitar, while the dancing elves follow along and tap out the tunes. All the animatronics, Santa, sleigh and reindeer and the tree were handmade. The building process for the display elements begins in early Summer over the weekends. Programming the lighting starts in September and is usually completed in late October.
