if the horse is really that nervous just unclip the leadrope... dont try to hang on... and NEVER wrap the lead around your hand!!! i dont even do that with my extremely calm dutch warmblood/shire/percheron cross mare. not that i dont trust her or anything (i do and shes the best <3) but its reall...
