Manor Gardens Allotments

lifeisland.org is the campaign group and website for Manor Gardens Allotments in the London Borough of Newham, UK.

The allotment gardens are threatened with destruction as part of the blanket land-clearance deemed necessary by the planners for the 2012 Olympics and the so-called 'Legacy'. For the last 2 years we have been campaigning to have our beautiful gardens incorporated as an interesting feature within the Olympic park, instead of being destroyed to make way for a temporary footpath and a giant video screen.
