Guitarist/guitar instructor currently residing in Clearwater Florida area. My music myspace is Dalyguitar. Go to my website if you'd like to contact me, for lessons, see some of my FREE guitar tabs, or see more guitar vidieos of mine in the style of Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, Yngwie, blues, classical or me playing bass.Frequently asked questions:
How do you hold your pick?
I've been using Dunlop Jazz III picks for the last 20 years or so, and I hold my pick in a relaxed position between my thumb and first finger.
How do you hold your hand while sweep picking?
I try to pick and sweep pick holding my hand in the same fashion as strumming a chord.(relaxed with a slight curved motion going down from the top E twards the A-D-G-ect ending with the pick moving a little closer to the bridge at the bottom of the strum or sweep)
Do you play practice sitting down or standing up?
Its easier to see what the player is playing while he or she is sitting, I try to do most of my practicing standing up, because that's the position your in when preforming most of the time. So I do tend to play most things better while standing.
