Probably , sonically the best thing Sonny & Cher ever did together, although "The Beat Goes On" was just as good or better in terms of being a "period piece".

The facial expressions & the body language go along EXACTLY with what she is singing. The innocence of those times.................

One of the great "second hand" one-hit-wonders. Why "second hand"? It didn't get to #1 on the national Billboard charts. I absolutely can't imagine why.

The Buckinghams were one of the many groups (and in some cases solo singers) who hit hard & heavy all within 1 year, and then all but disappeared from the National music scene. That's a great shame, but perhaps it makes them that much more vivid in our memories.

Funny, it was a cold, rainy Monday in May of 1971 when I first heard this one. That was "way-back-then".

Summer of '68...OMG!!!!!!

There was something about Diana Ross's voice that could soother even the most perturbed mind! Like mine!!

Fall of 1965...I was away at Boarding School, and feeling quite homesick. Well this tune came over the radio, and my homesickness was eased quite a bit!!!!

Do I remember this one! I was in my 1966 Ford Thunderbird driving with my (then) girlfriend, Jill, when this song came on....talk about a "natural high"!

He's also a good actor.
