During a Hoboken Ski Club Hike in May of 2007, newcomer Diana grabs a poisonous rattlesnake! we had found an even larger one earlier that she claimed was her first ever to pick up! Listen closely and you can hear the rattle! Some of the group were freaked out by her boldness. :)

You feead and water them and clean the cage. The biggest problem is that sometime they breed TOO FAST!

Yes, I could buy frogs at the pet shop if I wanted to spend $8 a week feeding one little snake parasite ridden frogs instead of feeding him healthy, nutritous, mice that cost me maybe $0.08 to breed without having to drive to the petshop and stand in line every week.

Oh, and if you're wondering what happened to the video, apparenly someone camplained and youtube yanked it for "inappropriate content". Go figure...

Wow! You sound like you can breed your pinkie mice so easily... By the way, don't the pet shops near your home sell feeder frogs?

1) I breed my own mice, so pinkies are virtually free,

2) I can't afford to spend all day looking for wild frogs. They've mostly been displaced here by cane toads and cuban tree frogs. The toads are poisonous and they won't eat the cuban tree frogs.

3) When I get a chance, I'll post the video I took of at least 2-3 different kinds of intestinal parasites I found in the one and only frog I bought for scenting. Even if the mice carry parasites, they don't infect snakes the way the ones from the frogs do.

Your Copperhead eats frogs?! So why didn't you feed it that? It is much more cheaper than pinkie mice...
