About OPM for Solo Guitar
Playing the guitar has been an integral part of my growth as a human being and as a musician. As a way of my gratefulness to this instrument, I am going to arrange 100 Original Pilipino songs for solo guitar and I will share it to the whole world!
Q: Why choosing OPM as your main theme?
A: Two reasons. First, I am a Filipino and secondly, my research shows a low percentage of Filipino music arranged for solo guitar in Youtube.
Q: What are your guidelines in choosing a song to arrange?
A: My songlist has 3 dimensions - favorites, requests and randomness.
Q: Who are your influences in playing the guitar?
A: In the classical guitar world, I'm a big fan of Andres Segovia, John Williams, Julian Bream and Maestro Jose Valdez. And in jazz, I adore Joe Pass.
