@pakk82 Not true. Many young people have been homogenised by the media but many still have regional accents, they're just not as distinct as they once were. I live in New York and plenty still have the accent, just not as many as before.

@bddc201 Thats not true on both counts (Haiti and Jamaica). In fact, in the case of Jamaica, it was the government giving firearms to gangs combined with the drug trade that led to rises in crime. Most crimes in Jamaica are either gang related or involve innocent persons caught in gang crossfire.
