Involver Conference November 2008 lewishamh... - 83 views - 2 months ago
Lewisham Homes held its first ever residents conference on 1 November 2008.

The Involver Conference, which included workshops, debates and guest speakers, gave residents the opportunity to work with staff to drive the organisation's Business Plan.

The event, which was partly funded by Lewisham Tenants Fund, also featured an awards ceremony to celebrate the achievements of residents and staff who have gone the extra mile for their community. One of the winners was Honor Oak Tenants and Residents Association who won the award for Most Creative Initiative by a Tenants and Residents Association for a community event they hosted in the summer.

Simon Smith, a resident from Honor Oak said, It feels really good to have won as team work was rocky at times but getting the award gave us the enthusiasm to do better next time.

Residents were also able to give their views on various Lewisham Homes services using Who wants to be a millionaire style voting pads which were popular with all who took part.
