It was made for the HLN- HolyLand News news agency that doesn't exist more from June 2008. The HLN was established with the purpose of satisfying the ever growing demand for news and articles regarding religious topics in the Holy Land (The State of Israel and Palestine). It was the only news agency in the world which saw religious topics from the Holy Land as its central sphere of interest. The news agency also provided general news from the Holy Land, primarily in areas that may be of interest to the public around the world. The site also contained an initial database of religious matters. The data base contained over 1.2 million entries .
