It absolutely does matter where you went to college. Only an academically prestigious university could expose you to that type of world class knowledge.

The south was aiming to preserve an incredibly lucrative economic system. The concentration of wealth in the south prior to the 1960's rivaled the wealthiest economies in the world. They wanted to preserve that. They wanted to preserve slavery. Denying that fact is intellectually dishonest.
