I loved the letter people from kindergarten which was a decade ago for me and I absolutely love Mr. M because my name is Megan and he was the first letter introduced. I am also from Ohio.

Thank you so much for posting these. I have very fond memories of the Letter People and the blowup dolls my kindergarten teacher, Miss Galloway, had each time she introduced a new letter to our class (1984). I used to sing the Mr. M song randomly and then my sister found your site. I can't wait to show my own kids!!

Wow, for years my brother's been saying this was just a local PBS program: turns out he was right, and yet it was also national! As I watched the "All About Letter People Land" video, I got one of those almost-memories that makes me think maybe I visited the studio and saw the old sets when I was in kindergarten. They'd only have been out of use a few years if new episodes stopped in 1976, so maybe so. Anyway, it's amazing how every clip in that video made me say "Oh, I remember that!" Thanks so much for posting all of this!

Do you plan on uploading the cartoon segments featured in the episodes?

It's a shame how ex-TREMELY short-lived the show was. It was so hard, it seemed, for NDE to reach to as wide an audience as it reached, and I don't mean ratings, either.
I tried to obtain the records they were putting out at the time to no avail. All I had left was the 8-track learning game, which is also long-gone, unfortunately. What can you do?
I had no idea of the TV show until last year. Why did PBS or NDE discontinue airing the show?
Keep up the good work. Classic television never dies!

Hopefully by the end of the summer I will upload the remaining videos to complete the profile.

I Loved the Letter People when I was in Kindergarten. I actually cried when they were done for the year. Now my daughter gets to experience them in kindergarten
