I think that this aircraft as nto only full flaps, but overloaded (4 heawy persons+ full gas) or with a used engine...

Nice aircraft but bad that the B&S engined aircraft not use a engine cowl: this is ugly and cost him many km/h... (see the cowling from the Colomban MC30 Luciole, same engine)

I think it's only a pilot fault : bank to much with to much elevation= lateral slip (same thing as with a conventional aircraft)

forgott a important factor:

e) Strong wing (with same airspeed this reduce the ground speed)

Look good , the only minus is the long magazine...As compact sub machine gun, is for me the FN P90 ever the best, with much less stopping power (5.56cal), but more precision and range, and ultra compact 50 round magazine and very hight fire rate (no bad optimisation for a 1986 built gun...)

No: such curious design was newer use: the only flyng wings that realy good fly, was the Fauvel (straigt wings autostable profile) and the Horten (delta wings ).

And in addition, a jet engine on a slow aircraft is a big error: very low efficiency, hight consumption,shitty noise

Spitfire /Mustang= same engine...My favorite aircraft sound are the Bell P63 Kingcobra , the Hawker Tempest/Typhoon (Napier Sabre 24cyl in H) and the Hawker Fury (improved Tempest) with 18cyl radial valveless Bristol centaurus (was the fastest propeller aircraft from WW2).

The landing technic use here is in most case innapropriate:with strong wind, the landing must be take with the wing at wind low to avoid unstabilities in the bows, and only 1 crank flaps (or no flaps): i take so landing with a ultralight (type skyranger) with MORE wind than this (25knots), but ...

A gyro can fly without problem with dead engine, but to maintain the rotor speed , he must fly forvard at ennough airspeed (the rotor fly like a wing but only if the RPM is fast ennough~300rpm). The glide ratio is only 2/1= higher is better for the terrain choice...
