I'm 25 and I'd for sure buy the Cruze. The Focus looks cheap and boy racer, the Cruze is clean and sophisticated. Also the turbo motor in the Chev could be easily tuned to out run the N/A Focus.

@JonEldred Not really. BUT the impala was at one point V8 and rear drive, and in SS trim it still has a V8. Chevrolet, Ford, and Dodge all still have V8 rear drive cars somewhere in their production line up. Toyota doesn't (Lexus doesn't count).

Is that the timng belt idler? I get a similar noise from my 95 LQ1 GTP. I ended up switching from 5-30 to 10-40 oil and it went away. I this noise got more pronounced when the engine was warm. I've heard people say that 60* v-6s can have piston slap that sounds similar when the engine is cold....
