About leftatalbuquerque's channel

I'm no videographer - nor do I claim to be!!! My focus is the music I fell in love with - songs that were never remixed into an extended form but kept me enchanted and coming back to the turntable to play them again and again... some are Disco, some are Dance, some are ballads... all of which I'd have a field day with if I was ever allowed access to the master tracks!! I always prefer a remix that sounds like the original song - modern "house" and "trance" re-interpretations just drive me up the wall - I LOVE REAL MUSIC!! I want the music to send me on a journey, not some chemical made in a bathtub!! Is there any hope for me??

I fell in love with Disco Versions back in 1980 - I was 15 and on a bilingual exchange to the Canadian province of Quebec. We went to a rollerdisco, and as I entered the rink, Alicia Bridges started singing I Love The Nightlife... and here I was trying to lipsinc to the radio version I knew, when the 12" album version was playing... boy, was I surprised! Growing up on a farm, only listening to radio and spending any money I had on K-tel records, I had never been exposed to Extended Versions before!!!

Needless, to say, that moment CREATED A MONSTER!!!!

Enjoy the songs - compare my versions to the radio singles you already know - and better yet, find a special someone to hold on to and share the experience with, because the best music, whether fast or slow, disco, rock, country or soul, was made for dancing!!!
