My money is on 'Defecting Grey' by English band The Pretty Things....certainly the first all-out metal riff in my opinion, then their song 'Old Man Going' from 1968, which the verse and riff sounds like 70's/80's metal.

One sold recently for $18,000...it had been signed by both Jack and Meg on the night of it's limited release at a gig at Detroit's Gold Dollar venue 23rd October 1998. The autographs were also authenticized by Jack and his nephew in a letter before the sale. This copy also looks signed....!
