This song is a good example of why Geffen Records sued Neil Young for purposely making bad and commercially dubious albums. Sample and Hold comes not even close to the influential genius of Neil Young. I think he went through a bad phase.

I just love sad waltzes. Apart from Horses, her brilliant first album, Gone Again is my favorite Patti Smith album. Songs like this and Beneath the Southern Cross are wonderfully sublime.
