Corridors of Life: The St. Andrew Bay Watershed
1-4 of 4Ecologist, Dr. Bruce Means takes us on a tour of Econfina Creek from its headwaters in southwestern Jackson County to its end at Deerpoint Lake in Bay County. Along the way, Means explains and explores the Econfina's hydrology and geology, as he gets acquainted with wildlife including salamanders and rattlesnakes. He also detours into history, visiting an African-American cemetery and a nearby gristmill burned by Union soldiers in the Civil War. A break for recreation features the family-owned Econfina Creek Canoe Livery and a segment of the Florida Trail. There's a side trip to first magnitude Gainer Springs. Playlist videos revised.
