You simply go for a normal strum but lay your strumming hand on the string as you do so, it will feel simultaneous, but really your palm hits a split second before your pick to mute the strings ...

Man you have an Awesomely uniquely voice. Seriously it's fantastic. Look up a couple videos on reggae strum, it takes a tick to learn but once you've got it you've got it forever and that's just adding to your arsenal. Keep going friend that voice can take you far.
