This is a good start on this tune. What's missing is they syncopated grace notes (if you want to call them that) on the right hand. Listen to the original, the thumb plays a real quick F just before the first two of the 3 chords ...

Cool, very helpful I'm sure! Three picky corrections:
1) At 7:00, skip the first chord you're playing. (Omit the D, start on the A7 with hammer on.)
2) At 8:15, on the second run down, don't play the A chord: just hold the bottom note and add vibrato. (Ditto for the 4th time. It alternates.)

Yup, Dr John slides. A good player needs to learn to get the same sound without sliding to be able to play those licks in other keys. IMHO, beginners should start out sliding, to get the right sound, and to free up other fingers because there are some licks you just can't play without sliding. ...
