The List Of Adrian Messenger Part 10 of 10 (1963 movie)

Part 10. Stay through the end for the final un-maskings!

    lastrada52 lastrada52 commented:

A great motion picture & original idea. No computer graphics. Adrian Messenger in this film was John Merivale, famous for monster pic "Caltiki, the Immortal Monster." Merivale also cared for screen legend Vivien Leigh in her last days. This story to some youngsters today would probably be a littl...

    lastrada52 lastrada52 commented:

Eugenio Finardi is one of the most brilliant singer-songwriters in the world. Great -- both in perfect Italian or when he performs his songs all in English, sung with no accent & very impressively. He is also always surrounded by the very best musicians.

    Melissa Etheridge- Weakness in me

    lastrada52 lastrada52 commented:

I respect Melissa's choice of covers. Great to hear her sing a classic Joan Armatrading song. Joan has legions of fans throughout the world but is not as famous as many of today's singers in the Grammy club. Nevertheless, artists like Melissa Etheridge, Mark Knophler and many others know who she ...

@mar9man7 - I agree with you. I love The Beatles and they came close -- but for sheer power & intensity -- Mike Smith is overwhelming. His rock vocals are superlative. There are few who were as consistently great as Smith. Of course, the entire DC5 band was excellent & I loved the upfront drums o...

Oh yeah rap, R&B & hip hop are far more exciting than listening to Mike Smith's smoldering vocals on this miracle of a rock song. This blows away anything being made today. The Dave Clark 5 - at this time - were not the band to follow on stage. You would have to be at least as good as The Beatles...

She just doesn't have any bad songs. This is great. She had a style that no one had and recording was still in its infancy when she made these recordings. The band is steady behind her. Doesn't matter what your race -- there's a lot to learn from Annette Hanshaw if you're an aspiring jazz vocalist.
