Why does Asia love Girly Boys? In Japan the boy groups are so pretty they make your teeth hurt and am sorry to see Korea following that trend. Sequined military costumes?

The costumes are so scary! The girls with the short skirts and red knee-high stocking are only missing garter belts to look like Betty Page-like Erotic pin ups, which is very UN-Disney. Who is designing those things? Lady GaGa? Comon OLC - get a clue.

It is so nice to see this - and realize that if Gene Nelson and Virginia Gibson had been under contract to MGM, how different their success would have been. Despite the films Virginia did at Warner Bros, she will always be thought of as "One of the Seven [MGM] Brides!"

What a gorgeous print! It illustrates how dance can actually move a story forward without dialogue. Roger Vadim certianly had a brilliant eye for color, composition and women. Thanks for this.

Yep - Jack Cole makes her sizzle in another B movie at Columbia. Being restrained by Cole she is much more seductive than in her usual high energy mile-a-minute-tap pieces. Of course, she had to do some of that or movie audiences of the day would want their money back! The entire 25 cents.

Often credits were not given for choreographers or dancers. Whenever I know who the featured dancers or the choreographers are, I will send the names to you - if you don't mind. The prints you post are dazzling!

Not only great jazz but the best example of how Jack Cole "empowered" the women he worked with. Tiny Asian Warriers? Those girls "ride" Jack and Marc and push them around - 30 years before Madonna coined the term "Boy Toys." Jack Cole was waaay ahead of his time and much too smart for the room.

This ain't Fosse, folks. It is Jack Cole - who taught Fosse how to channel his sensual self. There will never be another Monroe - or Cole.
