because Brazil didnt become a communist state, theres no way of telling what degree of communism ye would been thrust into

form what i can see, the '64 coup was more about maintaining important economic links with the 'West' as it was about preventing communism

government torture and widespread violation of human rights, extreme poverty, forced child labour... the list goes on

and for your information, Brazil is one of the most capitalist nations on the planet, yer obviously just not very good at it, which is why theyre still Third World.
And dont blame 'The West' for yer problems, cos 'The West' has never done anything in the recent past(except pour millions upon millions into your tourism industry) to hamper your chances of developing.
