NFL Films in this era was king. On into the 70's, Steve Sabol got control of things and their stuff became all about storytelling and music, instead of just covering the games and reporting what happened like we see here.

I doubt Buffalo was ever considered for a home MNF game before Rich Stadium opened in 1973. The team was awful, and Simpson had not yet developed into anything worth putting on Monday night.
