The more prevailent cons and scams today are the free energy / overunity scams. People think there is energy in magnets but this is completely wrong.

Power is the rate of prodcing that energy. (force and speed)
Magnets can be used to convert a free source of energy into a useable form for humans via an outside energy source like motion via falling water, sunlight, heat, donkeys or other means.
All energy is free. Capturing it and converting it takes money and effort, as Tesla discovered and failed at.
