About this user
Melody Federer has been attracting attention all over Europe and now brings her irresistible melodies to the US. She has already generated a sizable fan base with her on-the-spot composing of songs in her concerts and as the inventor of Stride-Pop, an original genre of music combining the 1930's stride piano of Montmartre and Harlem with the more contemporary, fresh bouncy sound of today.
Melody was chosen as the face of Chanel's Fragrance "Chance" in Paris, along with modeling for such designers as Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger. In addition to modeling, she's also won kudos for her classical acting skills during such performances as the New York production of Othello in which she gave a riveting interpretation of Desdemona.
In 2009, Melody began her music career, writing songs and performing for the uber-hip in Europe. Soon she was in demand at all the top events in the Continent. She has performed for Ralph Lauren at Vogue Fashion Week in Paris, Ambassador Rivkin at his Palace in Paris, The University Club in NYC, La Roqueboro Boogie Festival, Le Petit Journal Montparnesse and Le Meridien Jazz Club. Although she's played many high profile shows, she's not above such spontaneous acts as entertaining her fellow passengers via intercom on a flight between Paris and NYC. She's also gotten recognition as the first artist to perform in a Paris Starbucks.
