Urdu and Hindi are very much similar. If majority of the words that you use are from Persian or Arabic, it is Urdu, but if more words are used from Sanskrit, it is Hindi.

beautiful poetry and recitation. Urdu is not native to pakistan, all the famous urdu poets in pakistan had some other language as their first language. But Urdu is native to India, the best of urdu has come from India.

Nobody has sung Ghalib better than Jagjit. I dont know of a poet better than Ghalib. I love urdu, but it seems it is a dying language, at least in Pakistan. I hope that Ghalib's spell keeps it alive.
