Too many take for granted their daily bread
Too many take as a given, keepin their family fed
Too many watchin what they think they need
To take a moment for those without, n take heed
And wonder, if in a different situation, could that be me?
Never giving a thought, to what they could one day lose
never contemplatin how they would walk.....
if they had to wear another's shoes......
Turn Despondent, rely on relief from drugs n Booze
None are sure of what awaits, for them to question... could that be me?
Some never give thought, to so many mothers cryin
helpless in their misery, watchin their babies dyin
hunger n starvation, see breast milk stop supplyin
cos governments ensure real aid they not applyin
Comfortable in the knowledge, that would not be me...
Too busy focusin on their own dreams to help
Hell, they are not even tryin......
Too many strivin for that big ass money
To show off amongst their friends
Only thinkin, who they want to be
