My experience with the Yachts was in the Uvic University Centre. It must have been the same show date 1979. My friend and I went to a thrift store to buy thin ties for the occassion. We were jumping up and down a few rows back of the left side of the stage and the ushers tried to get everyone back in their seats. I bought the tickets after seeing them on a Vancouver TV news item saying their typical day was to get up ,practice , perform, get drunk and fall asleep. or something like that. I thought the show was great. A highlight for Victoria. I saw a few shows here over the years including T-rex, Ike and Tina, Procol Harem, Blue Oyster Cult, Thin Lizzy, and others.

Damn right The Yachts outperformed Joe Jackson on his Canadian "I'm the Man" tour circa 1979. Saw them at the University Centre, UVic. Still waiting for Yachts to be properly released on CD.
