About this user
Kyle Connery, of Vero Beach, started testing in March to begin his professional career as a PRO F-2000 racecar driver. His F-2000 formula car is the first step in the "Road to Indy" for an aspiring Indy Car career. The college freshman entered go-kart racing at local dirt tracks at age 13 with many wins. By age 16 he moved to road racing karts and became the State ICC 125 Shifter kart champion in 2008 as a rookie.
His family's team, CC Autosport, purchased his car in late October. Before year's end Kyle had won four of five Regional races. In 2011, Kyle moved to National series and in three events has raced to 2nd twice and won his first National race at Sebring. This is considered quite a feat because racers and teams travelled from across the country to race in the warm Florida weather.
Kyle is studying to become an engineer involved in some form of automotive or aeronautical development. This family effort, with the help of BTS Industries is hoping someone will take the opportunity to help with support realizing where this young man is going.
James Lee Racing of Miami will campaign the car allowing Kyle to concentrate more on the engineering criteria and receive James Lee's instruction ability as the "Mentor" to many future aspiring drivers. 2011 Pro F-2000 will travel to Watkins Glen, Road Atlanta, Lime Rock, Road America, Virginia International Raceway and Mosport -- Canada.
