Kjell MG Sandvik studied classical guitar at Trondheim Conservatory of Music. He is a multimusician, performance artist, instrumentmaker, guitarist, composer, arranger and audio/video producer.
Kjell has transformed the natural hollow plant Kvann (Lat. Angelica Archangelica) into a instrument and given it the name Kvanndoo. Inspired by the ancient Didgeridoo
Angelica (Root Of The Holy Ghost) was one of the most popular and highest valued medicinal herb crops in both the viking and medieval period.
The plant appears thus in a new form as an ancient spiritually inspired instrument.
Robert HB Benkow studied percussion at the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles. He works as a musician, composer and arranger, as well as a journalist in the magazine
Musikkpraksis.
Benkow also study music history through his collection of percussion, with emphasis on the modern drum kit in general and especially the snare.
The collection of snare drums counts over 100, from the late 1800's until today.

Robert HB Benkow har studert slagverk ved Musicians Institute i Los Angeles. Han jobber som musiker, komponist og arrangør, samt som journalist i magasinet Musikkpraksis.
Benkow studerer også musikkhistorie gjennom sin store samling av perkusjon, med hovedvekt på det moderne trommesettet generelt og skarptrommen spesielt. Samlingen skarptrommer teller over 100 fra slutten av 1800-tallet frem til i dag.
Kjell MG Sandvik har studert klassisk gitar ved konservatoriet I Trondheim. Han jobber som multimusiker, performance artist, instrumentmaker, gitarist, komponist, arrangør og audio/video produsent.
Sandvik har bearbeidet den naturlig hule Kvannplanten til et instrument og gitt det navnet Kvanndoo. Inspirert av det Australske sjamaninstrumentet Didjeridoo.
Kvann (lat. Angelica Archangelica) var en av de mest brukte og høyest verdsatte urtemedisinske nytteplanter både i vikingtiden og i middelalderen
Planten fremstår dermed i ny form som urgammelt spirituelt inspirert instrument.
