Just for the record, folks, I am the Sign Language interpreter on stage behind the President. It was a great honor and a very exciting (but hot!) evening.

I kind of disagree about showing a real female at the end. I know several transsexuals who look pretty darn masculine still. I think the startling examples we see on TV are outliers, and don't reflect the average reality. It's a range.

Madonna's dance partner is Eddie Mekka, the guy who played Carmine "the big Ragu" Ragusa on "Laverne & Shirley." It was nice to see him.

You forgot the part where the lawyer tells the interpreter that he will just pass the cost of the interpreter on to the client.
