About Me:

Although the content of this channel clearly demonstrates it, I have to admit that I am very fond of the 19th Century literature in particular (though I am not averse to any other kind of literature really). Especially it always fascinates me to find the parallels between the authors lives and their fiction as I believe that in some extent they explain more fully one another. So, for those who have similar interests it is always a pleasure to comment and exchange opinions with you on both authors and their novels, so don't hesitate to express your ideas as long as it is done in a respectful way.

Favorite quote: "Life is so constructed, that the event does not, cannot, will not match the expectation" - Charlotte Bronte (Villette).

P.S: I speak three languages: Greek, English and Spanish (the later not as well as the former ones, but I hope decent enough) . So, feel free to comment in any of them :)
Hometown:
Ioannina
Country:
Greece
Movies:
Not an expert on this but some movies I liked are: The piano, Breaking the waves, Todo sobre mi madre, Children of a lesser God, Frida, Fried green tomatoes, The legend of 1900 (La leggenda del pianista sull'oceano), The English patient, The eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, The butterfly effect, A beautiful mind, Amelie, She-devil, Play it again Sam, The money pit, A fish called Wanda, The life of Brian, The men in tights, Easter parade, Gone with the wind, My fair lady, The sound of music.
Books:
Jane Eyre, Villette (by my all time favorite author Charlotte Bronte), Wuthering Heights, The tenant of the Wildfell Hall, East of Eden, Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion, The house of mirth, Far from the madding crowd, The woman in white, The count of Monte Cristo, The portrait of Dorian Grey, The mill on the Floss, Great expectations, Madame Bovary, 1984, Nana, Pygmalion, A 100 years of loneliness, Love and other Demons, The house of spirits, Lord of the flies, Pavillion of women, A tree grows in Brooklyn, The yellow envelope & Giougerman (the last two by my favorite Greek author Karagatsis).

19th cebtury books and women writires are my favorite pastime and relax. It is so interesting to get to know how people lived and acted then and to see the paralels with todays life at the same time. Cheers from Prague, Czech rep.
