This is definitely Lang. I think the piano player is Frank Signorelli. Lang and Johnson made a lot of records together, with Lang using the pseudonym "Blind Willie Dunn". This isn't one of them.

That's George Biondo. He was with both Steppenwolf & Kay from 1970-1976. Also, the guitarist is Larry Byrom, who played on Monster. They were both hired away from a band called T.I.M.E. (I know this 'cause I read Kay's book a few years ago.)
