海上保安庁は１８日、同庁の巡視船「まつしま」が福島県相馬市の­沖合約５キロの洋上で１１日午後３時５０分ごろ遭遇した、大地震­による津波の映像を公開した。

　高さ１０メートルはある大津波が押し寄せ、「まつしま」は船首を­大きく宙に浮かせながら乗り越えていった。【海上保安庁提供】

今回の大津波は、ギザギザになったリアス式海岸の最も奥の地点で­さらに巨大化していたことが分かりました。岩手県大船渡市の綾里­湾では20メートル以上の波が押し寄せて、しぶきなどが30メー­トルに達していたことが専門家の現地調査で明らかになりました。
