On the 30th November 2006, Caja Vital Kutxa presented KREA, a new centre for culture and contemporary creation, housed in the former Convent of the Discalced Carmelite Nuns of Betoño in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain.

This cutting-edge project is part of Caja Vital Kutxa's Corporate Social Responsibility Programme, which aims to deal with social demands from a humanitarian and contemporary perspective, fostering social, economic and cultural progress.

KREA offers the resources required to learn about, experience and enjoy contemporary artistic and cultural creation. It is an ideas lab, a meeting space that promotes the development of projects. It fosters multi and trans-disciplinary creation from the perspective of participation and team work.

Although the official headquarters will not be officially opened until late 2009, the project is already up and running through different activities and its website www.kreared.com.
